Lloyds Banking Group has announced the closure of its Sussex House contact centre in Brighton, with the loss of more than 500 jobs. In the current economic down turn job cuts and closures always seemed likely but with the news of almost 500 jobs cuts at the call centre in Brighton, it begs the question could it be worse than we expected? Is the recession really finally over??

It was never in any doubt that call centres would be amongst the industries hardest hit and with countless job losses and cuts at Lloyds we here at Frontline Telephone Answering Service remain poised, positive and ready for action as November has happily seen a resurgence in new enquiries and leads.

With the Lloyds call centre closure scheduled for May 2010 it is reported that around 535 jobs will be cut, reports the Guardian: Whilst it seems the larger call centres are buckling under the pressure of the economic downturn, could it be that job cuts and closures are providing a platform for smaller independent contact centres like us here at Frontline Telephone Answering Service to boom?

After a successful and positive quarter at Frontline Telephone Answering Service evidence would seems so. We are seeing definite green shoots of recovery in what is perhaps a direct response to the closure of larger corporate call centres. New businesses and entrepreneurs are sprouting up across the country showing encouraging and positive signs for the UK economy. We are in a privileged position here at Frontline Telephone Answering Service  providing call handling and customer service for all areas of the economy, Construction, IT and Care, giving us a good view of the UK economy.

As things begin to pick up and the global downturn begins its road to recovery, Frontline Telephone Answering Service have battened down the hatches and remained positive throughout, whilst Lloyd cut jobs and call centres close nationwide our contact centre is blossoming in the face of this adversity and we remain forever positive and on standby to pick the industry back up supporting new and small business nationwide.
